Eccles Community Art Gallery

This is a non profit making gallery in the heart of Eccles, Manchester.

It is located at 4 Boothway. Eccles Shopping Precinct, M30 0EB Manchester, just around the corner from Wilkinson’s. (See map) It is very close to the bus/tram interchange next to Morrisons supermarket and car park. It is also 5 mins walk from Eccles Rail Station.

The gallery is entirely run by volunteers. It has regular exhibitions by many local artists producing works on canvas, board and ceramics. There are also gift cards, jewellery, lamps, mirrors, books and many other items. The displays are changed every 4 weeks so there is always something new to look at.(See photos)

As part of the exhibition process artists are asked to be “in residence” for a couple of hours each Saturday to answer any questions. There is a really nice feel to this gallery and I and many others look forward to exhibiting there.

During my numerous sessions there I have had the pleasure to meet some amazing artists mony of whom give up there time to help others to enjoy the therapeutic value of art. The place is like a magnet for like minded souls. It is a really creative space.

I have been there several times and had booked in for 2 solo exhibitions in March & November/Christmas 2020 but sadly these became casualties of the pandemic..
